Our growing seasons vary , but we try to have a range of fresh cut flowers and seasonal produce available throughout most of the year.

Pumpkins

Thanks to all who celebrated pumpkin season with us at Ballymad last year . This year we aim to bring a more all round family experience with a number of new activities and experiences

Cut Flowers

Gerry and Anne Snr began growing Sweet William back in the 2002 , we now have several acres dedicated to Sweet William , Sunflower and Gladioli but to name a few –   Our flowers can be purchased during the harvesting season direct from the farm gate , or if your a commercial enterprise send us an email to express interest in stocking our cut flowers at your business.

Maize Maze

We grew our first Maize Maze in 2023, and it has become hugely popular. It’s free of charge to enter and is included in your admission fee for our farm events when in season. Don’t worry about getting lost… we send a search party out every Wednesday.

Tractor Rides

Our popular Tractor/Trailer ride is a must do at Ballymad Farm. We run this during our Pumpkin season, and you can enjoy a complimentary trip around our fields on our bespoke people mover. Our tractor/trailer ride is an East Meath original at Ballymad Farm.

About Our Farm

     Our farm is located on the East coast of Ireland, 25 minutes north of Dublin in the Boyne Valley region of  County Meath. Our family, the Toners, have been farming here for generations. We believe in innovation, that’s what has brought our farm on a journey from dairy cows to vegetable and cut flower production right through to our current  “pick your own “events.
The current generations of Toners, Gerard and Sarah, have laid down their roots at Ballymad Farm in Piltown, having met each other many years ago while studying agriculture and veterinary nursing respectively at Harper Adams Agricultural University in Shropshire.
Having grown pumpkins for a number of years Gerard and Sarah opened the farm gates in 2022 to the public with Piltown Pumpkin Patch . Now a yearly event, the farm has a dedicated car park woodland walk and facilities. The Farm opened its first Maize maze to the public in 2023 , and the first Pick Your Own sunflower event in 2024. We are excited to host Archie’s Easter egg hunt in 2025 for families to come along and enjoy some Easter fun on the farm, keep an eye on our social media and website for furthur details on how to purchase tickets for this new event!
